Fees

Martial arts training can be very expensive. Although Black Tiger Karate is a certified martial arts school, we don't offer classes in a free-standing building. By combining forces with the Plano YMCAs, we can offer high-quality instruction and training for very low fees.

Monthly fees are paid through the YMCA, and must be paid every month. Black Tiger Karate fees are not included in the membership fee, and cannot be automatically debited like some other YMCA programs.

In order to comply with the YMCA's policies, please note that the following will be required:

Each participant must be paid in full before being able to participate in class.

Each participant/family member must fill out a registration form for each and every monthly session. This ensures that the required health and liability waivers are signed for each session. Forms are available at the front desk, or download the form here.
New karate sessions will start on the first day of each month and end on the last day of each month.
There will be no refunds after a session has started and attendance has occurred.
The full registration amount is due even if a student only attends part of the month.
Potential students that would like to observe/participate in class before enrolling need to fill out a registration form at the front desk, or download it (here) and bring it with you.

The Plano YMCA has reviewed their fee structure for all of their programs, and has raised fees on most of the programs. As of October 1, 2009, the fee structure is:

YMCA members	$45
"Community" (or non-) members	$90

Family discounts:
1st family member	100% of fee applies
2nd	75%
3rd	50%
4th	25%
5th	free

Because of the family nature of our program, the YMCA will continue to offer the family discount.

We have several sets of siblings, and even a few sets of parents and children within the Black Tiger Family. You are never too old to begin training!
